Whether you are a WISP looking to offer value-added services to a broadcaster, or a site owner wanting to contribute to the weather network, this kit takes the guesswork out of the hardware. It pairs a powerful 25x Optical Zoom PTZ camera with a MikroTik RB5009 router—capable of handling the heavy VPN encryption required to tunnel video feeds securely back to the studio without lag or artifacting.

Gray Media Network Ready

This hardware is selected specifically to meet the ingest requirements of the Gray Media weather network.

• Camera: Validated for H.264/H.265 streaming and PTZ control protocols used by the Grey Media production team.

• Router: The included MikroTik RB5009 is powerful enough to handle high-throughput VPN tunnels (WireGuard/IPsec) while simultaneously powering your camera via PoE.

Deployment Requirements

This kit provides the camera, mount, power control, and routing.

• Internet: You will need a reliable ethernet backhaul (fiber, microwave, or Starlink) to plug into the MikroTik router.

• Power: AC power (110V) is required to power the MikroTik router (which then powers the camera via Ethernet).
